Quality & Sustainability Assessments

Nash Consultancy is able to offer both Registered Providers and Housebuilders advice on quality and sustainability compliance requirements in line with the new legislation from Central Government.  The Deregulation Bill will mean a significant change to the Planning and Energy compliance standards.

As the Code for Sustainable Homes has now been withdrawn, although transitional arrangements will allow existing schemes with a Planning or funding requirement for a Code assessment to be progressed as normal, we will continue to coordinate the following HCA Design & Quality Standard (DQS) assessments in the interim period for completion of the current HCA programme:

  • Code for Sustainable Homes assessments
  • Housing Quality Indicator (HQI) assessments
  • Building for Life assessments

The BRE recently launched a new voluntary sustainability standard known as the ‘Home Quality Mark’, with full details of the scheme to be announced later this year.
